Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate

I completed the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, the eight-course path from Google Career Certificates on the fundamentals of cybersecurity.

The path starts from the security analyst's role and works up to everyday tools: how different attacks affect an organisation, the ethics of the profession, SIEM systems and protocol analysers, and how languages like Python, SQL and Linux come into security operations.

I took it to have a solid grounding in security alongside my backend-developer profile. It didn't change how I work overnight, but it gives me the context to better understand the security of the applications I write.
